Behind the Wheel - March 12

WOW! The February meeting is behind us and we are racing towards the Show Season. For many the preparations have already started. The car covers are being peeled away and all those little steps that we perform before turning the key on another show season are being performed.

The Feb. meeting saw the return of many members that we had not seen in quite some time. We had members from as far South as Lakewood and from Bellingham and Arlington to the North. Bill and Nancy Johnson braved the ferry ride over from their Island home and yours truly made the drive from Bremerton. So distance to the meeting should not be a show stopper for any of us. Come on out and join in the fun and person to person contact.

Our guest speaker gave MNW an invitation to visit the They Shall Walk Lab and to a Cruise In at Shoreline in early May. This month our guest speaker will be providing information on being a Corner Worker at the race track. Come on out and learn what all those flags mean and why you can’t wear a yellow shirt or blouse and be a corner worker.  Been told that red is not a choice either. Your Board is busy recruiting speakers for the upcoming months. Should you know of a person that would like an opportunity to speak at the club let any Board member know and we will work on setting a date.

There is a new version of the game Presidents Award being played every month. The winner in Feb. was not present at the meeting so he missed the opportunity to have a one year membership in the MCA paid for by your President. Next month there will be a different prize up for grabs. But to be a winner you must be at the meeting.

The Round Up Chairman came through and delivered Save The Date Cards for everyone to carry out and distribute. Come get your share to distribute at this month’s meeting. The cards look GREAT and we have not had them this early in the year in forever.

As always you can reach me by email or phone with any concerns or ideas. By all means consider joining us at a Board meeting also. You are welcome to attend all or part of any Board meeting.
