From the Prez - Apr 11
Well it’s April and we are almost a third of the way through 2011 already! This is the month I have been patiently waiting for since last October because it means that the 2011 Car Show Season is here! It’s time to dust off, cleanup and prepare those cars for another fun season. I look forward to seeing everyone and their vehicles at shows throughout the spring, summer and fall.
We have several opportunities for car shows this month so let’s get ready to rock and roll!
Your Roundup Committee continues to work towards our 31st Annual Mustang Roundup and All Ford Picnic which will take place July 14 thru 17 this year. The next committee meeting will be on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the Overlake Roundtable Pizza. Please come and volunteer to help the committee work towards making this the best ever Roundup.
At the March General Meeting we began circulating the Volunteer Book for this event. If you have not had a chance to volunteer yet please attend the April general meeting and do so. You can also contact our hard working Volunteer Coordinator, the energetic Robin Mitchell, and she will be happy to sign you up for what events you would like to help with.
Congratulations to all of you Boeing employees on the awarding of the Air Force Tanker Project! This will be good for everyone in this state and especially for those in our military as they will be receiving a superior product manufactured by great employees in the United States of America!
For those of you that missed the March Meeting, I want to thank Bill Smallwood III for providing “Friday Night at the Movies”. Watching the Ford-produced documentary on the new Boss 302 was great!
