From the Prez - Aug 11
First off, I would like to thank each and every one of you for making the 31st Annual Mustang Roundup and All Ford Picnic the best that we possibly could! The show committee could never have pulled this event off without the support of every member of this club and the many volunteers from our family members and other cars clubs!
Although the weather presented challenges to us on each day of the show, we never let it beat us down! I want to thank everyone that came out and supported the club throughout this year’s Roundup!
August is a month that some of us use to de-stress following the big show, and I hope that everyone is breathing a little easier now. But the club must go on, and so some of you are staying busy.
We still need to find a replacement for Janell as the Editor of your Pony Express Newsletter! We really need someone to step up and volunteer for this position ASAP! Janell and the Board would like to see an orderly transition so if you have questions about this position, please contact Janell.
It’s also not too early to think about Roundup 2012! So if you’re interested in being a part of the planning process for next year’s Roundup, please contact me.
The Fall will be here before we realize it and it will be time to begin the election process for club officers and board members. I encourage all of you to consider running for a leadership position within the club!
I will NOT be seeking another term as Club President. I want to step aside and allow someone else the opportunity to “steer the ship” in 2012.
This club is comprised of volunteers and it needs people willing to actively participate to allow the club to function at the level we have come to expect. Please strongly consider offering your time and talents to allow Mustangs Northwest to continue to be the best car club in the world!
I want to especially extend this invitation to you newer members. We need your fresh ideas and your help. We will be with you for training and back-up every step of the way. To keep our club growing we need everyone to participate.
