From The Prez - August10

PREZ 1First off I would like to thank each and every one of you for making the 2010 MCA Grand National Show the best Grand National the MCA has ever seen!  The show committee could never have pulled this event off without the support of every member of this club and the many volunteers from our family members and other cars clubs!

August is always the month we de-stress following the big show and I hope that everyone is breathing a little easier now.  But the club must go on and so some of you are staying busy.

We have some volunteer positions that need to be filled very soon in order to keep our club up and running in the manner we have all grown accustomed to.  The first position that I want to talk about is that of Club Webmaster. Kevin Crader has done a wonderful job with the website and it’s time that we allowed him to pull back.  We really need someone to step up and volunteer for this position ASAP!  If you have questions about this position please contact Kevin. Call me if you think you would like to volunteer for this task.

The second position is that of Tack Shack coordinator.  Dave Penwell has also done an exceptional job and is well deserving of a little time off to do some traveling.  Dave is willing to help his replacement transition into the job as much as he can.  Contact Dave or myself if you would like to volunteer!

It’s also not too early to think about Round Up 2011!  So if you’re interested in being considered for the 2011 Round Up Chairperson position please contact me as soon as possible.

The fall will be here before we realize it and it will be time to begin the election process for club officers and board members.  I encourage all of you to consider running for a leadership position within the club!  I will be seeking another term as Club President for 2011 to allow for some stability in 2011.

This club consists of nothing but volunteers and it needs people willing to actively participate to allow the club to function at the level we have come to expect.  Please strongly consider offering your time and talents to allow Mustangs Northwest to continue to be the best car club in the world!

I want to especially extend this invitation to our newer members.  We need your fresh ideas and your help.  We will be with you for training and back up every step of the way.  To keep our club growing we need everyone to participate.

That’s all for now, I look forward to seeing you all at the August meeting and at some of the upcoming shows and events.

Feel free to email or call me anytime you have questions or concerns.
