From the Prez - Jan 11

PREZ 1From the Prez...

Happy New Year!

January 2011!  Can you believe it!  I’m having a little difficulty comprehending what happened to 2010.  Some of the year went by way too quickly and some of the year lasted way too long.

I hope that you all had a great holiday season and that all your family and friends are well.

I am really looking forward to the upcoming Mustangs Northwest Annual Banquet on January 15th at the Museum of Flight in Seattle.  Vice-President Mike Zimmer has put together an event that promises to be enjoyable for everyone.  I hope that you can attend and spend some quality time with our Mustangs Northwest family.  Remember that there will NOT be a General Meeting in January!

Your newly elected officers and board members will begin their terms at the conclusion of the banquet.  Please give them your support to make 2011 another great year for Mustangs Northwest.  Remember the club belongs to all of us.  The more people that participate in running the club, the easier it is on everyone.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing officers and board members from 2010 that will not be returning in 2011.  Your service to the club was greatly appreciated and I look forward to working with all of you in some capacity as we move forward in 2011.

The next meeting of the 2011 Roundup Committee will be held on Monday, January 10th at 7:00 PM at the Overlake Roundtable Pizza.  I encourage you to participate in our year-long efforts to continue to make Roundup “the world’s largest annual gathering of Mustangs”.

We still have to come up with a solution to the loss of Dave Penwell from his Tack Shack position.  Dave retired from this position at the conclusion of the December General Meeting so we need a volunteer (or volunteers) as soon as possible! There will be no Tack Shack at general meetings until further notice!

I would like to once again take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your assistance in making Mustangs Northwest the best car club in the world. Thank you for your assistance to me in my position as MNW’s President.  You should be proud of yourselves and Mustangs Northwest!

Feel free to email or call me anytime you have questions or concerns.
