From the Prez - Mar-11
Well here we are and it’s March already! Time really does fly when you are having a good time! The February meeting is now behind us and we continue to get closer to the beginning of the 2011 Car Show Season!
For those of you who have tired of me “begging” for someone to take over Tack Shack, your wait is finally over! Scott Robinson and Bill Smallwood III have taken on this challenge. I want to thank them for stepping up to the plate and again acknowledge the hard work of Dave Penwell.
Although we are currently focusing on the 31st Annual Mustang Roundup there are other things that continue to go on. We have monthly general meetings, monthly board meetings, and Judging Committee meetings, and soon we will be starting the 2011 car show season. On top of that, we all have family, personal, and work-related activities going on. I know that your time is valuable, and I want to do everything that I can to make sure that the time you spend on Mustangs Northwest activities is “well spent”.
Your Roundup Committee continues to work towards our 31st Annual Mustang Roundup and All Ford Picnic which will take place July 14th -17th this year. The next committee meeting will be on Monday March 7, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the Overlake Roundtable Pizza. Please come and volunteer to help the committee work towards making this the best ever Roundup.
At the March General Meeting we will begin circulating the Volunteer Book for this event. Pulling off this event to the standard that we have set will take as great an effort as any of us have seen before. I know that we will do it, but filling up the volunteer timeslots in the Volunteer Book as quickly as possible, will take a lot of stress and worry off of the Roundup Committee (especially your aging Roundup Chairman!) Please plan on attending the meeting and signing up for your favorite events and assignments!
