From the Prez - Nov 10
November is here! Are you ready for another winter? I know that I’m not!
The next meeting of the 2011 Roundup Committee will be held on Monday, November 8th at 7:00 PM at the Overlake Roundtable Pizza. I encourage you to participate in our year-long efforts to continue to make Roundup “the world’s largest annual gathering of Mustangs”.
The process to select our officers and board members for 2011 officially continues with the election of officers at the November General Meeting. The following members have been nominated for club officer positions. President – Jim Couture and Mike Godwin; Vice President – Bill Smallwood, III; Secretary – No Nomination; Treasurer – Debbie Moore; and Membership Chair – Deana Couture. As you can see we still need someone to volunteer to run for the position of Secretary. I strongly encourage one and all to consider running for Secretary or a Board Member position.
We still have to come up with a solution to the upcoming loss of Dave Penwell from his Tack Shack position. Anyone interested should contact me or any board member as soon as possible. Dave will be retiring from this position after the December General Meeting so we need a volunteer (or volunteers) as soon as possible!
As I mentioned previously a $250 Gift Certificate from Pony Carburetors, Inc. went “unclaimed” at the Grand National Show so we have decided to sell raffle tickets for it a General Meeting. Due to circumstances beyond our control we were unable to sell raffle tickets at the September and October meetings. We will now sell tickets in November with the winning ticket being drawn at the end of the meeting. It will give us an opportunity to raise more money to donate to our favorite charities!
