From the Prez - Sept 11

PREZ 1From the Prez...

The process to elect our officers and board members for 2012 is nearly upon us.  It officially begins at the September Board Meeting when nominations are opened for club officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Membership Chair).  These nominations are then opened again at the October General Meeting.  I strongly encourage one and all to consider running for an officer or Board position.

As I announced at last month’s General Meeting I will not be seeking an additional term as your President.  Although I have greatly enjoyed representing our club it has taken a toll on my personal and family life, and it is time to step aside.  I will not be totally withdrawing from participating in the running of the Club, as I will be on the Board as your Past-President in 2012.

I also announced at the August General Meeting that I had decided not to ask the Board to allow me to be the 2012 Roundup Chairman.  I just need to step back and focus on personal and family issues for awhile.  It was definitely a pleasure to have worked with the 2011 Roundup Committee to put on this year’s Mustang Roundup and All Ford Picnic!

Speaking of our 2011 Roundup, if anyone has any input they would like to provide for inclusion in our Roundup Wrap-Up meeting, please contact me and I will insure that it is provided to the Committee.

Anyone that did not receive their Dash Plaque for Roundup can see me at the next few general meetings and I will have a supply available for you.

We are in desperate need of a replacement for Janell as the Editor of the Pony Express.  If you are interested please contact Janell and she will explain what all it takes to publish our monthly newsletter.

That is all for now.  I look forward to seeing you all at the September meeting and at some of the upcoming shows and events.

Feel free to email or call me anytime you have questions or concerns.
