Notes From The Editor - March 09
|
Is anyone out there ready for Spring yet? I know that I am ready! I can't wait for the time when I will be able to just get up and throw on a light jacket to go outside-instead of having to bundle up in eight layers of down clothing just for a short walk to the mailbox. I bet those ponies in the garage are also getting anxious to shed their winter blankets and get out into the open air to stretch, and run through their courses again. I can just imagine what it must be like-to be all cooped up in a barn for six months, waiting for the warmth of the sunshine and to feel the blood pumping through your veins once again. Just waiting for the chance to flex your muscles, "strut" out, and display your shiny coats for all other ponies and Mustang enthusiasts to see.
("NYTMARE", "MAGIC", "HULK", "SHABOOM", and "PONYSIS" ring a bell?)
Many are youthful and vibrant like a 16-year old with his first license, while others have been "around the block" a few times and are starting to show their age. Some have gorgeous coats of paint and are fresh off the showroom floor, while others show the inner beauty of a lifetime of care and loving preservation made by a dedicated owner. Like the cars themselves, the Mustang hobby is like a living and breathing being. Effort and care have to be poured into it to keep the hobby healthy and alive. Here's to a long and prosperous life! |
