RU Pony Trails 2009

“PONY TRAILS”

July 17, 2009 - The 2009 Pony Trails, “Yakima Canyon Stampede” began with nearly 200 cars and support vehicles leaving Bellevue Community College in the early morning hours of Friday July 17th. From there, the caravan proceeded along eastbound I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass, took in Indian John Hill, and then made its way via police escort to scenic Sarg Hubbard Park, just south of Yakima. The entire trip was 269 miles long, and Pony Trails participants were treated to breathtaking scenery and spectacular views along the route. Upon arriving in Yakima, participants also had a panoramic pic ture taken of themselves and their fiery steeds, before departing on the return trip to Seattle via historic Ellensburg and picturesque Cle Elum. Special Thanks to the Sun Country Mustang Club, and Jay Atkinson and Terry Green, for chairing such a fun and memorable event!
